[W126 Coupe] Hard shift cause and cure

A week or so ago I mentioned a hard shift (2nd to 3rd) which developed
gradually.
I checked for the usual. Fluid level and condition, vac leaks, modulator. I
adjusted the modulator to see if the trans would respond and it did.
Modulator appeared good.
Yesterday I had the fluid, filter and the modulator changed.
 My mechanic said that the end result is quite improved and I will be
happy.
However, the fluid was quite cloudy or foamy.
Coolant in the transmission fluid.
Time for a new radiator.
