 I personaly wouldn't touch one with a barge pole. One well over rated peice of British crap, and yes I am British and ashamed this ever came to market from this country.I consider it unsafe, unreliable, poor brakes and I could go on with the list forever. Apart from that, some years ago I had a very high impact smash in an Audi.The car was a complete write off, but I got out uncscathed apart from a few cuts and bruises. If it had been a Mini, I wouldn't be here to tell the story.
Sorry, but that is my honest personal opinion of the Mini.
