[W126 Coupe] Looking for a window regulator

I used an 18" wooden ruler to hold the window up when the regulator was out.
It is a good piece of hard wood, with a hole drilled about 1/2" from one end
for the bolt on the metal frame on the bottom of the glass, then ty-wrapped
it to the bottom of the door.

One of the three main bolts that hold the regulator in the door had fallen
out, allowing the regulator frame to twist when the window was opened or
closed, which cracked the regulator. I had it welded and then reinstalled
it. It's just cast aluminum.

Steve:

A few more thoughts. Where you are dealing with the SEC you may want
to plan on a few blocks of wood to hold that glass in the base of the
door at a reasonable height once the regulator is removed.
