Steve, My local MB mechanic told me that 9 out of 10 times the window regulator goes it is due to a worn plastic slider. I fixed my SEL for $5 with a new slider. Take out the regilator and grind or file off the brad of the slider. Put the new one on and flatten the brad. Done! Well--almost. I think I would rather stand on my head `while tieing my shoes than to put another regulator back in place. I can tell you 100 ways not to do it. Germans have a differant understanding of spacial relationships! Jim Alex
