Good idea, Richard. I went to the local Autozone store a while ago and for
$20, bought a package of various sized green o-rings that were marked for
use in air conditioning systems.

You can go to any  autoparts store (o'reilly, ' napa, autozone etc.)to get
an assortment pak  of o rings.
You can also buy an assortment pack of o Rings made for air-condictioning
systems. Try to use O rings that are made from Green rubber. The green
rubber has a greater resistance to heat, oil and chemicals. 
These autoparts stores sell individual o rings but you have to ask for them.
They are ususally kept out of site.
