[W126 Coupe] powee problem

 Not sure how the MB's are set up, but I had a similar problem on my Ford recently.  Replaced the TPS (throttle position sensor) as that's the code that was spit out.  That worked for a day or two, problem came back.  Replaced the ignition control module, wouldn't start.  Then replaced the pickup on the bottom of the distributor as well as the metal gear at the bottom of the distributor.  That lasted about 4 months, then again it shut down.  Mechanic pulled the distributor - gear at the bottom was all chewed up.  Replaced the whole distributor this time, so far so good. Not sure how similar the SEL and SEC is, but I would think they have similar components worth checking into.
