[W126 Coupe] DelVal SEC meet

 Just wanted to echo a few of the comments about the meet this weekend in NJ set up my our dear friend "Legs", aka Ellen Ruck.  Mother Nature certainly tried to put a damper on things, but it didn't work!  While we missed a few members who were supposed to show up but didn't, we still went ahead and enjoyed the festivities.  I'm sure Ellen will have a funny writeup as she did last year, but here it is in brief: 1) met at her house around 1pm.  I don't know about the rest of the group, but I certainly was/am envious of her "Benz Barn".  Jeez, 5 cars side by side, room to stack cars on top of each other via lifts if needed, and room for 5 more in front of the ones in the back, but we took up that room with seating/eating, etc.  I won't even go into the gorgeous cars sitting there - 2 SLs, 2 190's, and a E320 Cabriolet.  My mouth is watering as I think about it.2) Left for our "rallye" around 2pm, and spent about 4 hours tooling around the Delaware Water Gap region of NJ, trying
  
to find clues she had written up for us and answering test questions.  A few rude motorists tried to intervene in our parade but the members took care of that on occasion.3) Made it back by around 6pm or so to start having horse-douvers, followed by dinner.  Mmm.....it was good! Not sure how many Benzes we had in the caravan, but it was probably around 15 or so, with a token BMW along for good luck.  Thank goodness this year my car did NOT break down in the famed Reservoir location, so I breathed a sigh of relief. My hats off to Ellen for all her dedication and planning.
