Sounds like your pushbutton control or vacuum switching valve has a
problem Richard. If as you say the vacuum elements are all okay. Try
giving the harness to either side of the ACC push button unit a wiggle
to see if it's the famous solder joint issue. You may luck out.
Yes, the rear center cabin vent only pulls outside air so you can slide
it closed during extreme hot or cold weather as you see fit.
