[W126 Coupe] 560SEC acceleration

The 560 SEC is designed to start in second gear. You can alter this
manually and/or install a special kit that directs it to start in
first.

To manually start in first, you must pull the shifter all the way
rearward and then click to the right (note the little arrow.) That's
first gear.

You can also downshift to that location as you roll to a stop (at a
light or stop sign.) Then, keeping your foot on the brake as you are
stopped, now move the shifter back to D (or 3 or whatever it is). You
are now still in 1st as you are waiting for the light to change. When
you next move from the brake to the accelerator, the car will
automatically go from 1st up thru the gears.

Enjoy.
