The procedure described is correct for high friction track-style or race pads, but it can glaze over street pads.

Still can't buy into that break in procedure..I've Always done mine w/ the Gentle, easy stops for the first 100 miles..getting them Hot IME just glazes the pad over. 

 
It's the one recommended by StopTech and David Zeckhausen, plus I know it works with high performance compound pads anyways.
