[W126 Coupe] Help me narrow down self leveling problem

I've never seen accumulators leak..only the self leveling shocks/rams.
When you move the proportioning valve lever hold it there for @ least a
minute, if not more..this system is not quick to respond..
How many miles are on your car? Do you know if the accumulators were ever
changed? Typically one can see about 100K out of a set if the fluid is
tended to fairly regularly or if you don't take train tracks at 70+;-)
Also, I would pull your filter and housing back out..have someone start the
car while you hold the return line over the reservoir..make sure your pump
is @ least pumping something.
