Yes, this would typically be somebody still using MS Windows and  
using Outlook or Outlook Express as e-mail client,
which are easily "hijacked" by malicious software. The software then  
randomly sends junk mail to all addresses
in the contact list, etc.

You probably have nothing to be worried about (just annoyed) - but  
somebody on this list has an infected computer.
On the other hand, it could just be random, external spam (via the  
mbcoupes website, for example).
