[W126 Coupe] Front Left Noise

Hi Jack:
Best bet is to lift the front end safely and give things the going over
to identify the loose part. Could be something as simple as the inside
fender skirt, a side urethane panel etc. By checking the steering once
again even after all the repairs you should be able to identify the
part. Maybe the alignment guy left something loose or only partially
snugged up and it's come loose. You don't mention the idler arm having
been repaired with the new rubber kit but, it's on the passenger side
anyway. How's the upper control arm and ball joint? Did you R&R the
sway bar bushings to either side of the upper control arm when you did
this other work? One item I have seen on a different 126 (not an SEC)
was so badly worn engine mounts that the exhaust was contacting the
frame. So, could be a lot of things, only way to find out is get under
there and poke around.
How's the steering otherwise? Nice and firm, not loose, no vibrations
or pulls, just the occasional clunk from under???
