Dawid you telling me about the cold air, I am driving my Citi Golf due the
extreme cost of petrol for running around with the 380. My Climate control
is setup the same as your but doesn’t respond to any changes selected.. she
just blows hot air all the time. 

My Central Vents aren’t even Emitting air at all.

P.S be ready for the cold front on Sunday.

I really think all those W126 fans out there should pay our beautiful
country a visit.. O yes.... all our Sec Mercs are Right Hand drive.

Food for thought: My idling speed relay was under the drivers steering in
the dash... I know all you guys have it behind the firewall in the engine.

On a related note, could I maybe ask somebody's advice on my climate  
control (1990 560SEC) ?
I have the "manual" climate control, i.e. has the circular fan and  
vent switches in
the middle, with temp selectors on the side, and I tested it  
yesterday, and overall it works great.

i.e. I set it to 22ºC, fan full-blast, and I drove with all the  
windows down and sunroof open
(it's currently winter here, was around 6ºC). The system blasted the  
interiour with pleasant
hot air, trying to get it to 22º. I then closed all the windows, and  
of course things heated
up very quickly, to the point of being too warm. The system quickly  
blew some colder air to
equalise it, and in less than a minute, everything was perfect (comfy  
22º). So it reacts correct
according to interiour temperature.

However, the main (central) vents of my car almost always emit semi- 
cold air. If it's cold outside,
air from them are too cold (but the rest of the vents compensate) and  
if it's very hot (air conditioner
full blast) the air from the central vents aren't nearly as cold as  
form the top/bottom/side-defogging
vents. I typically just drive with the central vents permanently  
closed for this reason, but why would
the air form just them be different? Maybe a stuck door or something?

They thrust perfectly according to fan setting, so it's just the  
temperature that's never the same as
the rest of the vents. A minor niggle yes, but I'd like to sort out  
all my car's minor niggles :-)
