[W126 Coupe] is an alignment very expensive for a mercedes

It has to be a 4-wheel alignment. My independent tech charges $80
describing it as not hte best price for an alignment but not the worst
either.

are there any things that i should be aware of when i take my car to be
aligned?
 
it's the left front side.  i switched the front tires to make sure and
the left tire began to wear on the the outside.
