If the car is parked indoors, once a year (and 4 times a year before each time you wax if it's outdoors) you should hit it with P21S Gloss Enhancing Paintwork Cleanser. I have never found a more gentle or more effective cleaner. It really does help rejuvinate paint too.

Subject: [W126 Coupe] Wax versus polish
This whole topic of waxes - which to use, etc got me thinking. I didn't see anyone mention polishes. I never knew the difference until I bought a Zymol product years ago and saw how "clean" the car looked, but didn't seem to last long. I did some research and found out there there are cleaners, polishes, waxes, etc. Polishes or cleaners are supposed to do just that - make the paint clean, get rid of minor scratches and basically make the car look good. The wax then protects it - that's it! Now, I'm sure there are "mutts" out there so to speak, like the Klasse (which I use BTW) which is an all-on-one - cleaner, polish and wax.
So, its really hard to compare products - you need to make sure you are comparing apples to apples - just listing a company name doesn't really tell much anymore - as they all have so many different things. Choices, choices.....its becoming harder and harder with all the choices out there!
Cheers,
Markus
