[W126 Coupe] Horsepower in 380 and 500 sec's

Hi Jonathan:
What constitutes a full on 5.0 Euro motor at 276hp??? And would the
diff on an 84 SEL have been the 2.24 or the 2.65? Any clues that I
might gain from the engine or differential tags that you or local MB
dealer could decipher???
