Subject: [W126 Coupe] LS 6 Engine

Steve, Good to hear from you. The LS 6 engine/trans gets me excited. Now I
know what you are up to Mike R. Great! Can't wait to hear more. A few years
ago I mentioned finding two such motors at Carolina Rod both with trans. and
computers and each with about 7K miles. The man said take your pick, $4500
each. One from a Firebird and the other from a Camaro with a guarranty. I
remember Nathan and many others being very excited about such a prospect
transplant. The only negative was from Satish who then said his
investigation revealed a problem connecting the drive shaft. Of couse that
was then and many thing have changed. The idea of such utter realiability,
great mileadge, HORSEPOWER, emmissions. All this in a package that
appproximates the 560 in weight but a lower profile actually. The
Barrett-Jackson autions indicate that many others are willing to pay a
premium for a body style they like but with modern mechanicals. At such an
auction a perfect low miles SEC with all records esp. AMG will bring
premiums. Cars that nobody has ever enjoyed driving because the miles are
too low for anybody to know the car. Do so keep us informed with your
project. Regards, Jim Alexander
