Vance,

You injured yourself falling out of bed?

Whatever you were doing, I hope she is alright. ;-)

Cheers,
Axel

Hi Bellamy,

I have checked some things, but admittedly I haven't tried this relay yet
or the 1amp fuse job. Also the fuse you mention (fuse#8) isn't listed on my
cd manual for 1991 Euro, so I have the same listing.labelled as you as from
1986 (which could be the same). I will eventually get it. I am a bit slow on
testing and diagnosing these things, as I have only recently got out of a 9
week stay in hospital after an accident.

No the car wasn't involved (promise you won't laugh when I tell you how I
did so much damage) Yep, it was as simple as falling out of bed. I didn't
think it was possible to do so much damage from just falling out of bed,
especially after I wrote off an Audi Quattro at very high speed impact and
got out virtually unscathed except for a few small cuts and bruises back in
1998. But that's life. I am still hobbling around on crutches due to a
fractured hip and a new shoulder ball joint fitted because it had been
dislocated for too long to re-locate it as they didn't diagnose the X-rays I
had taken on the same day of the accident at A&E as well as further X-rays
taken 3 days later at the fracture clinic. Wasn't until 2 weeks more after
that, only because I couldnt move and was in so much pain, it was decided to
take me back to hospital and do more X-rays and a CT scan. That, as well as
the weather is a bit on the cool side at the moment has slowed me down
somewhat.

While looking in my manual I spotted the "K" relay, so I might try this
tomorrow as well as maybe fuse #8 and possibly fuse #2 and #15. All of these
fuses are listed on my diagrams as "hot at all times" so I would suspect one
of them. Trouble is if I were to do them all at the same time, that comes to
about half the electrics on the car between them. But I will certainly try
this "K" relay if it is on my car as it is on the layout in the manual.

The answer to your question if the flashers come on consistently when I get
the 6amp draw is no, it's not. As far as the 1amp fuse test is concerned, I
managed to buy some 1amp fuses today (not the same type), so I will need to
solder them onto some blown standard type fuses to be able to just clip them
into the fuse holders as normal. Hoping to complete making them tomorrow
also.

Will keep you informed.
Cheers,
Vance.
