Rick:

You were dead on with regards to the modulator when you said:

"The control pressure adjustment will not change the flare between 2 and
3. That is the modulator or the transmission itself."

I set all control linkages and cables back to the factory settings while
doing the new EHA and fuel injectors. I went ahead and moved 4 clicks
clockwise on the 'T' to the modulator (in two stages, driving in
between), The shifting has improved. Going to move the 'T' ahead one
or two more clicks sometime this week to see if it clears up the flare
between 2-3 altogether.

Hopeful,

Dick

I read this first post last.
That makes sense that the flare seems more noticable since the control
pressure adjustment caused earlier shifts.
The control pressure adjustment is more tolerable to tweaking based on
driving style. You may want to tweak it now that you know where it is
supposed to be.
It has to feel right too.
The control pressure adjustment will not change the flare between 2 and
3. That is the modulator or the transmission itself.
