[W126 Coupe] changing my front brakes

Hi again Gary,
I just looked again at the pics on Dan Watt's write up and there are a couple of
extra points that could be made.
Dan lives in Southern California. Consequently, rust and corrosion buildup on
the caliper faces (where the edges of the pads ride) will be significantly less
than if the car were located say..... in New England or the Pacific Northwest
where it is damper.
I would clean these faces of any corrosion (also the bake pins) with a small
wire brush, then apply a thin coat of brake paste to the four surfaces. Benefit
gained? Corrosion protection pretty much for the life of the pads so the pads
won't stick in the calipers.
You can readily see in the picture with one pad installed that the inner piston
has come out of its bore quite far. My preference is to do one pad at a time so
this doesn't happen.
Hope this helps. Malcolm Lee
