Chaz told me this, Chaz is KING

Just a little info I thought I would share with everyone that I discovered while trying to diagnose this battery drain problem I have got. (still not there yet, but closing in you might say). The info I am on about is regarding the vacuum pump that supplies the central locking system that is located in the trunk at the rear right of the spare tire well. Apparently at least on the 1991 Euro 560 SEC version. The pump is only activated when required. In other words the only time the pump will power up is when one of the door lock actuators are activated. This Euro version doesn't automatically power up the pump if the vacuum drops while the car is parked.

By the way, the problem wasn't the vacuum pump even though all evidence pointed towards it, so at least that one has been crossed off the list as far as this intermittent current draw problem is concerned.

Just a little bit of useless information I thought I would share.

Regards,
Vance.
