I think your right. There has never been a problem with attaching the last
post or the post you are answering.
The only other suggestion I have is to start a new subject line in the
subject box if you want to talk/converse about something else. I think it's
called hijacking a post when you go off onto another subject. This way if
you get each email as it is sent (as I do) you don't have to read the
subjects that don't interest you. It's like television; turn the channel,
shut off the radio blah blah blah!

P.S. I signed my post Dick! ; )

Hi John, and Doc, (and everyone else)
I think there is a little confusion here on this subject. I am sure nobody
minds answering a question and leaving the original question in the same
mail. This has been done and has been acceptable to all for years on this
list without any complaints from anyone. As you say John, the info is good
and useful to know what's being discussed. I think the confusion comes in
where those members that have signed up for the daily digest and get the
complete days emails all in one and re-post the whole daily digest. This I
am sure is what everyone is on about, but others are confusing this with a
standard email thread. So basically, anyone who is receiving the complete
daily digest and wants to ask or answer any question, just trim the rest of
the daily digest out of the mail and only leave in the one mail on the one
subject that they are making an enquiry about. So this mail trim lark really
only applies to those signed up for the daily digest, and of course a little
common sense trim now and then from the normal separate threads that might
have moved on to another subject. Otherwise as I have said and agree with
John, the info is great. I don't know of any other car on the road that has
the sort of pooled info (good at that) than this one.
All the best,
