[W126 Coupe] SEC Horsepower

Your guesstimate was accurate but very surprising to me. These numbers
assume that I still have around 238 HP on a 200,000 mile engine. With these
results and your calcs, it does look like my 19 year old car has something
pretty close to "new" HP, maybe 5hp less, which is a great testimonial for
MB overengineering capabilities!!

Took my '87 560SEC to the dyno this afternoon and they did two baseline

2. 194.37 HP 236.70 net torque.

Great! Interesting to note that the spreadsheet for predicting top speed
from HP that one of the Steves and I worked up a few years ago used the
formula (Rear Wheel Horsepower) = (Flywheel Horsepower * 0.88) - 10.

Assuming a 238HP 560, we get (238 * 0.88) - 10 = 199.44, so we were pretty
darned close. In fact, one of the references I used suggested we should
subtract 15 instead of 10, which would have put us smack on the money!
Thanks.
