[W126 Coupe] SEC Horsepower

Took my '87 560SEC to the dyno this afternoon and they did two baseline
runs.

1. 194.45 HP 238.97 net Torque

2. 194.37 HP 236.70 net torque.

 

The runs were 30 seconds apart, 78 degrees, 27.8 "Hg.

 

Peak HP around 4700 rpm, peak Torque around 3700 rpm.

 

More than I thought I would get from a stock M117. Very good condition
engine (chain/guides/tensioner, fresh intake manifold, new injectors &
buckets) but stupid US exhaust system. At least the air/fuel read 14.7
during the run.

 

If I can get the scanner to talk to my new laptop, I'll post the charts. 

 

The folks there did really like the SEC. They see a lot of hot rods, and
Camaro looking things, but the whole shop came over to look at the SEC.
