[W126 Coupe] headlight trim removal

 I suspected it was like this.

Hi Rick:

For the US headlamp door r&r you need do to remove the lower trim.  1
phillips screw near radiator, one bolt down low at the face of the
fender (use something small like a 1/4 drive socket with whatever that
bolt is 8mm? to back it off) after you remove the corner marker.  Then
remove wiper arm and washer hose for total removal of the horizontal  trim.
