RJS & Dan,
Yep - Mercedes calls the headlight flasher system an "optical horn", which
is the name used on the fuse designation paper in the fuse panel. In my '87
SEC, it's fuse #17.
Take off the lower cladding on the dashboard and there is a large plug that
is the connector from the stalk to the car wiring. From memory (a chancy
business, fur shur) I think it's the one in the picture. Someone smarter
(with a better memory) can verify.
