[W126 Coupe] all gauges just died

I thought it might be the paint.  Either that or it's just time for another oil change.

    I was driving along and I noticed my speedometer dropped to zero.  I thought, "Oh great, my speedometer just died a quick death."  Then I noticed that all the other gages weren't working either.  Any body know what's happened?
