You might consider a synthetic oil in a lower viscosity like 10W/30. It flows considerably faster in cold climates.The hydraulic lifters need to fill with oil and there is some issue that escapes memory but easily corrected. With the valve covers removed look to see the plastic oil guides which break or missallign easily which is a major cause for cam wear. Jim Alex.
