[W126 Coupe] Hatch and Sons is back!

I popped by my Mercedes Mechanic last week, and there was a truly
beautiful black 6.3 being worked on, of course much higher mileage,
but visually comaprable to this one Hatch & Sons has. I came so close
to buying one last year, which needed very little work. A real
monster of a car, you can feel and hear that there is a 6.3 under the
bonnet every step of the way, yet a phenomenally smooth ride with the
air suspension. The handling ain't great though (suspension is quite
slow to respond to e.g. sharp curves) and very costly to maintain.
A 560SEC leaves a 6.3 in the dust at higher speed though, but
nevertheless the 6.3 is one of the most impressive cars ever,
especially considering it was build in 1967. Another very interesting
car standing at Attie's (being worked on) is the ex-premier of
Zimbabwe's Mercedes "Grosser" 600 SWB. Still totally original (but I
think it needs a repaint to look perfect again). The car is for sale,
can you believe it... Now that I wouldn't mind, for grand sunday
drives :-)

Rolls or Bentley has never built the quality evident on the 600. It's
all a bit over-the-top, but very, very nice.
