[W126 Coupe] Rear diff?

FYI, my 3.07 is a limited slip unit, built in a standard W126 2.47 housing.
Barry Taylor makes them, for $3500. It is essentially a new unit, with new
bearings in it, a new 3.07 ring and pinion, using a custom made set of bolts
to put the ring gear in there (I ordered those bolts and they were
EXPENSIVE), and new limited slip clutch pack in it.
Externally, it is identical to the stock differential in an SEC so it is
just a "bolt-in" upgrade. It made a BIG difference in drivability and the
car is much more fun now. Yep, they are expensive but there is a lot of work
and dollars required to get the parts together and make one of these
correctly.
By the way, that's the differential that I'm going to be using with the LS6
and don't expect any problems when I double the horsepower in the car.
Later,
Mike R.

HAHAHAHA? Well, why don't you say 'hello quaife' and get back to us with
how much time and money YOU spent, and let us know how to do it?
I'm not poking fun at you, but it's not as easy as you imagine, as several
of us having been trying to find an alternative that costs cheaper than the
AMG (which is THE CORRECT AND ORIGINAL PART btw).
