[W126 Coupe] Door Lock Change

I have seen this done on an 850ci. I don't know much about the system,
but I believe the little remote thing he had was made by Viper, the
alarm people. Then I guess he just had a door popper kit in there. My
question is this: what do you do when your battery dies? Any big time
custom car stereo shop should be able to hook you up with the right
electronics, and then any good body shop can shave the handles.

I have a question.  Now that I am going to be coming up on a time when I
can start working on my green 500 SEC, I was thinking about shaving the
door handles and installing a remote door opener so that it will pop the
door open for entry.  

Has anybody ever seen anything like this, done anything like this?  

Where would I start looking?
