[W126 Coupe] front wheel bearing journals

I've never replaced the outer journal in any MB. If they looked good, then I
left them alone and made sure there was good grease in the bearing.

I think you're fine just replacing the removable bits.

Subject: [W126 Coupe] front wheel bearing journals

I am replacing the fronts on my 560 -- 86 ---W126. A new journal for the
inner bearings came with the new parts. This leads me to suspect that I
should be replacing the journals??? The existing journals look ok and with
limitted attempts I was not able to remove them. Very concerned about
messing around in there as if I mess up the hub im eating a chit samwich. Is
there a good way to remove the jounrnals without a special MB tool???Should
they be replaced???

FYI-- My front end noise apparently was the result of a bad outer bearing on
the drivers side ---

Any help appreciated.
