[W126 Coupe] Tranny blues

   I think my transmission has gone terminal. It will not go into high gear
and will downshift to 2nd on its own while coasting.
 The pressure control cable is still intact and I had the modulator
replaced when I had the filter and fluid replaced 2k miles ago. Can't fine
any vac leaks.
It did exhibit a hard shift while hot, AC running in 100+ degree ambient,
but this is much worse.
  Seems to slip quite a bit while in gear.
  Would anybody who has recently replaced their transmission with a rebuilt
let me know what sources are available and what your experiences were?
