Before buying the DTS, rent one. I have had the experience of road trips in two different DTS's (rentals) and in both, the passenger side center vent would randomly close whenever it felt like it on the highway (the vibrations of the road would slowly close it). Also, whenever you hit grooved pavement it would track like nobody's business.

I was looking at the 2-4 yr old BMW at the time I wrote that. I
"need", and do not currently own, a 4 door large sedan. I am
actually half way down the road on the caddy DTS ( meets the need of
highway cruiser with 2 couples ) - my Lotus Elise and W126 provide
all the "driving" experience I need, but sure wish they were gonna
upgrade before 2010 if ever. So - that's why I think I'll do better
with 17's instead of the 18"s.
Or this there a better tire recomendation that the Dunlop SP that are
so noisy now with quite a bit of life in them yet ?
