[W126 Coupe] Toluene

That's the stuff. It's essentially an industrial solvent, a carcinogen (use gloves/mask when pouring and mixing), and not to play around with.
It can damage rubber seals and plastic if used improperly. That's why it is best for occasional use, track use, etc. and even then when used in proper proportion. But it works well, is cheap, makes a clear difference in operating performance, and I have used it for years in high boost (25psi+) Audi applications with no negative side effects.
But I certainly would not recommend it for daily use.

Bruce,
Isn't Toluene the chemical that was (or still is) in testors model cement?
The chemical that the kids in the 70's were sniffing in bags to get high?
If so, and that chemical helps make things stick are you sure that it is not harmful to your fuel system and mechanical parts of the car?
Jack
