12mpg, damn boy, I couldn't afford that. Lean out air mass meter, pump the
tires up to 40 lbs.
I lean out the air mass meter just to the point where the engine starts
heaving or idling roughly, then
I richen it until the idle is bearable in Drive. I'm getting 16mpg in town
and 19-20 on the Hwy.
It's not a rocket off the line, but these days, if I want rocketship like
acceleration out of a stop sign or red light,
I'd be driving a different car.
BTW - a new set of injectors, injector seals and injector holders greatly
improved idle stability, Gas mileage, and overall drivability. It was the
single best investment that I've made in the car in the last year.
That little project cost me just under $400.00 and 3.5 hours.
I don;t know why I waited so long.

Use 87 Octane
In N.Y. there is a 35-50 cents a gallon difference between 87 & 92 octane
gas. At 50 cents a gallon a tank or more a week can be in the neighborhood
$700.00 a year or more.
I am only getting about 12 miles to the gallon doing daily driving.
What is the average MPG on your SEC's ?
Thanks
