[W126 Coupe] shorted

I have a no spark problem with my 1988 560SEC. At the moment it looks like insufficient volts at the coil.
I have managed to compound my problems by shorting out one of the wires in the ignition system. I now have to replace this wire.
I have not found either block diagram or schematic that shows all the wires in the ignition system and where they go.
I have both the CD manual from Johnathan and MB manuals.
There are three wires at the positive terminal on the coil, where do they go? One of these is the shorted one and I have a melted insulation trail to follow. This leads me to connector X26 behind the fuse box. Looks like it may go through the firewall after that.
There are also two wires on the negative side, where do they go?
I would really appreciate it if someone could produce a complete block diagram of this ignition system.
If no one has one I will draw one up in Paint after I sort this out.
Thanks,
Chris Schafer
