But so blowing the headgasket isn't a worry with that much boost on
these engines? I don't need to o-ring it or something like that first?

I wouldn't run 12 psi unless you ran methanol/water
injection and or an intercooler but yes it can be
done.  I'm running more than that through my SEC. 
Yes, it can be done for less than $4,000.
