[W126 Coupe] stupid musings on supercharging

I always dismissed the idea of supercharging the 380 engine while saving
up for the big project, but today I got to thinking: the us 380 only
runs an 8:1 compression ratio and is designed to run on 87...I wonder if
it could take 12psi of boost on 93 octane with slightly retarded timing.
That would theoretically yield 281hp, which wouldn't exactly be slow,
and could probably done with $4000. Is it possible to run 12psi?
