[W126 Coupe] Timing Chain Replacement

According to the recommendation on this site, I should
have the timing chain replaced (vehicle mileage =
101,000).  

My local shop has given me an estimate which is based
upon 9 hours of labor time.  I see an article on our
website describes a way to replace the chain - which
reportedly took the author ~ 2 hours. 

Question:  Is this method (article title "Timing Chain
Replacement") reliable?  Has anyone (other than the
author) used it?  Did it actually take about two
hours?  Your views on this are appreciated.
