That plastic discus-like cover under the rotor and
within the dizzy cap housing was also problematic for
me. Mine was not on right and moved while I was
driving. The problem was exacerbated with missed
timing at higher speeds past 70 mph. This was partly
due to the obstructive interference caused by the
discus, which only served to exacerbate the movement
of a slightly loose dizzy cap. An example of
something simple causing a big ger problem.
Re: fuel pump. You can check it but I'll betcha its
okay if it wasn't causing problems earlier.
