As a Canadian, I too am fascinated by my fellow American passion for the 
politicals and all that it does or doesn't do. Yours is fun to follow, ours 
is pitifully boring and full of liars and thief's.Very few in Canada 
actually trusts a politician, we think of them as someone like a really bad 
used car salesman. After all our system is based on the British system, that 
is based on Admiralty law. Look it up, we are all just naives to the 
royalty. That's why we often wonder why your trust your politicians so 
much?? Yours are just as bad, but you trust them. This is not a derogative 
slant towards American, I  personally like my Southern neighbours and have 
traveled and have friends all over the US. I am particularly comfortable 
with persons below the Mason Dixon line, must be from my Scot's heritage.
Been to New Orleans and had a blast. It saddens me to see such a tragedy. 
Canadian are doing all that they can to help. All the small communities in 
my area have called special council meetings and are donating through the 
Red Cross. I live in an area with a lot of Mennonites and they are in the 
process of gathering clothing and such. You will also see that there will be 
a large group that will show up there to help rebuild. These people are 
geniuses in this activity.
