Hi Dan:

Yes, you can just remove the clock board from the cluster and either repair yourself (2-capacitors) or send it along to the benz-store.  I've rebuilt two of my clocks but, the idle control amp was way too problematic and I wasted a good hour before giving up and ordering a remanufactured unit from the benz-store.

        Hello MBCoupes types:

        Somewhere in the not too distant past Markus Meyer asked about clock repairs.  So, for his benefit and anyone else not inclined to do this repair yourself there is another cost effective solution.  The Benz Store will rebuild the clock for $45.  Seems to me their prices are very reasonable and the warranty is very good as well.  I've just ordered an idle speed control amplifier (for the SEC) for a 1/3 the price I would have paid from other sources.

        So, if you need Instrument cluster repairs, reman'd ACC pushbutton units, cc amps, idle amps, etc. I'd give them a hard look when considering a purchase.
