Thanks Axel. I was just confused about being non-vented causing some hazard. However, military do carry it that way and a vented can will constantly fume from evaporation which is probably the primary cause for gasoline to deteriorate. Jim Alex

Jim,

I don't have one for my SEC, but I have had a few jerrycans like that for 
some of the Audis I have owned and they are great. As long as the rubber 
gasket in the lid is intact, it will never leak.

If you intend to leave it in the car and forget about it, you may want to 
add fuel stabilizer. If you can remember to use the gasoline about every 
three months, the stabilizer won't be necessary.
