That's totally outright rape, not just a little high. we installed a Mercedes reman tranny straight from the dealer, tranny, labor and all for $2700 at our shop a couple of weeks ago. It was an '88 560SEL, same tranny as yours. I'd shop around, they're bending you over at those prices, and I'll bet you don't get a kiss, either.
