[W126 Coupe] hydraulic rear suspension fluid

I need to top off the hydraulic self-leveling system on my 89 560 SEC. Previously, I had used MBZ fluid, but I had to order it and it took several days. Is there an alternative I can use that can be found at a local auto parts store? There is a leak somewhere in the system that I need to find. It works great, but just loses fluid over time. I believe It could be the hose at the bottom of the reservoir under the hood.
