I think you were interested in my solution for chrome tips.  One large east coast metal guy says they will not chrome exhaust because the carbon gums up his tanks.  He has tried and failed to clean out the carbon.  I talked to another fabricator and powder coating is an option.  You can dictate the color including chrome.  Cost is under $20 bucks.  I plan to pursue this option since the original black color on my exhaust has long since gone to ugly.
