[W126 Coupe] BATTERIES: OPTIMA VS. MERCEDES

How many cca are the big MB batteries (there are two W126 batteries, a
little one and a longer one)? The Optimas are 720, does that meet spec?
The baddest batteries I've seen are in E39 BMW 540's 850cca.

I've made a habit of replacing the stock batteries with an Optima unit
when
they expire. Never had to replace an Optima.

Put an Optima in a '66 Mustang a few years back. Never had any issues
with
crank power after that.

How long have your optima's been lasting? I've never gotten less than 5
years out of an MB battery (well, except for the one that came with the
car from the factory, that one only lasted 1 year for some reason).
