[W126 Coupe] dumb electrical connections

I was planning on using solder and tape. I just asked since the 3m taps
weren't mentioned and I wonder if I should tear out the ones that I have
(V1 and city lights) and replace with solder.

The 3M type of electrical tap are okay but,  a mechanical splice is
never as
good as soldered electrical bond in my opinion.  Your questions in the
earlier post led me to believe you were using solder and tape and just
needed advise on 'how-to' make solder connections.

I have used taps where the source cable was in a tight spot making wrap
and
solder too difficult.
